We women nowadays seem to try to strive to want our bodies to be this “perfect” shape, a sickly model thin, an unhealthy weight that is almost unattainable. And if we actually attain that ‘perfect” weight, it’s almost impossible to stay at that perfect size for good.
Ladies, I am not saying that it’s not good to have goals, and that it’s not good to eat healthy, workout and stick to a routine. But when you have always been a bigger gal, or you just have those pounds that no matter how hard you work out, and eat healthy they just don’t seem to drop off… you can’t just starve yourself and work yourself to death trying to make yourself into something or someone you aren’t.
God made us who we are, and if it’s one thing I am learning about myself…it’s learning to be happy about myself. Now, I am trying to become more fit & healthy since it’s been over a year since I’ve exercised, but I can learn to be happy & content with the body God gave me.
There are things that we can do to become fit, without overdoing it. Just by simply eating a healthy diet, drinking lots of water and starting a simple exercise program.
I like the singer Meghan Trainor, and her video “All About That Bass.” She sings in the song about not having the perfect body, and coming from a musician I think that is a great message. So many young girls now days see actresses and musicians now and want to emulate them (be just like them). So they go on strict diets or end up having eating disorders, and that is not good. I also like the new video below. It’s an awesome video about girls of all sizes playing sports and working out. Take a look.

I’m sure YOU knew that. Didn’t you? Sure you do. And guess what? I knew that too. Well, I know that. But you know … Continue reading Becoming Fit Again Takes Hard Work
Recently my family has been going through some life changes and we will be going through more over the next six to eight months or so. It is amazing to me how much determination just stepping on the scale at the doctor’s office can give you to loose those unwanted extra pounds you may have put on over a few months. I myself was given this great amount of determination this morning after stepping upon a scale at my GI’s doctor … Continue reading Determination
Over the past five years I have been seeing a Christian psychologist that I like very much. I have been seeing him every Monday. It is an hour drive one way to his office, but the sessions are very worth it. I have been to many different psychologists & therapists over the past fifteen years … Continue reading Weekly Therapy Sessions
Pain seems to go hand in hand with suffering does it not? So, if we are experiencing pain, does it mean we have to suffer or is that something we ‘take on’ ourselves? And if it does go along with the pain, how much do we have to suffer? I mean how much is enough? … Continue reading Pain & Suffering
